Edward the Confessor Millennium Festival - Islip 2005

It is not every year that a village can celebrate the millennium of the birth of a king and saint!

This year the villagers of Islip are commemorating the millennium anniversary with a series of events from flower festivals to boat burnings and replicas of the Bayeux Tapestry to a Grand Fete, with the aim of raising funds for various community projects. We would be delighted if members of the public would join in these celebrations.
